Members of parliament criticized several government responses to citizens’ appeals and called for concrete results, Orda.kz reports.
Majilis Speaker Yerlan Koshanov presented the findings from the review of citizens’ requests gathered during deputies’ regular regional visits.
He noted that twice a year, parliamentarians meet with residents, record their concerns, and later hear government updates on how these issues are being addressed.
We are systematizing all the collected issues and working together to resolve them. Afterward, we will publicly hear government members' reports on their implementation. Many questions were asked today, and proposals were voiced. However, it should be noted that the answers to some questions were unconvincing. We must not forget that behind every deputy's question are real, pressing problems facing the people. Kanat Aldabergenovich (Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev – Ed.), at the next meeting, we expect concrete results on these issues. To achieve this, government members should, if necessary, travel to the regions and make decisions on the ground,
said the speaker.
Deputies expressed dissatisfaction with officials’ tendency to redirect or shift responsibility on various matters.
Parliament stressed that the public expects timely action rather than prolonged approval processes.
