KNB Continues Recovery of Weapons Stolen During January 2022 Unrest

Kazakhstan's authorities are continuing their efforts to recover weapons and ammunition stolen during the January 2022 Events, Orda reports.
In the first month of 2025 alone, law enforcement agencies have located eight Kalashnikov assault rifles, 25 pistols, 23 rifles, 17 grenades, and 1,521 rounds of ammunition of various calibers.
Four of them were stolen during the January Events, the National Security Committee's press service confirmed.
The investigation into the identities of those responsible for the weapons theft is ongoing, with joint efforts from the National Security Committee, police, and the Prosecutor's Office.
