KNB Border Service Employee Arrested in Petropavlovsk Drug Case

Information has appeared online about the detention of a KNB border service employee in Petropavlovsk on suspicion of planting drugs, Orda.kz reports.
The regional police confirmed the arrest.
A 27-year-old resident of Astana is suspected of supplying synthetic drugs to the city of Petropavlovsk. He was caught red-handed by officers of the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the North Kazakhstan Region Police Department. The police seized about 520 grams of α-PvP and 'mephedrone,' as well as 10 grams of hashish, the police said.
The case is currently under investigation.
This arrest follows a recent operation in Pavlodar where authorities discovered an underground drug laboratory.
