Keir Starmer outlined potential British troop deployment, reports Orda.kz, citing The Telegraph.
Starmer stated Britain is prepared to lead in expediting Ukraine's security guarantees.
But it also means being ready and willing to contribute to security guarantees to Ukraine by putting our own troops on the ground if necessary. I do not say that lightly. I feel very deeply the responsibility that comes with potentially putting British servicemen and women in harm’s way, Starmer wrote.
He emphasized that supporting Ukraine would enhance both British and European security.
Starmer is scheduled to join European leaders at a Paris summit on Monday to discuss the Ukrainian situation.
EU nations have expressed concern about their exclusion from US-Russia negotiations regarding war resolution.
The Riyadh delegation meetings are set for Tuesday, February 18, as reported by Kommersant newspaper and Axios.
