KazNU Branch to Open in Omsk

The Kazakh National University branch's opening ceremony named after Al-Farabi was attended by the heads of Kazakhstan and Russia via videoconference, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev and Rector of Omsk State University Sergei Zamyatin also participated in the event.
Admission of applicants to the branch of the first Kazakh university in Russia will begin in September next year.
200 grants have been allocated for the students' education.
The branch will be for bachelors and masters in International Law, Kazakh Philology, and Customs Affairs.
Future plans include introducing dual-degree educational programs. Teachers from KazNU, Omsk State University, and foreign scholars will teach students in three languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English.
