KazMunayGas has disclosed the fuel reserves accumulated at the Atyrau Oil Refinery ahead of its scheduled shutdown from October 1 to 25, Orda.kz reports.
According to the company, fuel supplies to western Kazakhstan will come from stockpiles formed in advance under a plan approved by the Ministry of Energy.
At the start of the work, the plant's tank farm had accumulated the following reserves: 37,000 tons of gasoline, 30,000 tons of diesel fuel, and 6,800 tons of jet fuel. These reserves will ensure consistent and timely shipments to the western regions of Kazakhstan throughout the entire repair period,
KazMunayGas stated.
Maintenance began on schedule and is intended to ensure stable production and reliable equipment performance.
The refinery plans to bring units back online gradually, starting October 25.
Earlier, it was reported that Atyrau Refinery will inspect and service more than 1,100 industrial vessels and apparatus, 1,400 pipelines, 46 furnaces, and carry out long-delayed repairs of the delayed coking unit.
