Kazakhstan's Women's Team Shines at World Championship with Six Medals

Kazakh athletes secured three gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal, placing second in the overall team ranking, Orda.kz reports, citing the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan.
Russia took first place, while Türkiye finished third.
The tournament featured participants from 51 countries, with Kazakhstan’s national team competing at full strength. Kazakh fighters competed in 35 bouts, winning 26, marking one of the best performances in the team’s history.

President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev congratulated Nazym Kyzaibay on her historic victory. Nazym Kyzaibay (weight up to 48 kg) became a three-time world champion.
