Starting November 2, 2025, Kazakhstan’s SCAT Airlines will operate direct flights between Astana and the Serbian capital, Belgrade, Orda.kz reports.
Flights will depart Astana on Wednesdays and Sundays, with return flights from Belgrade on Mondays and Thursdays. Tickets are already on sale.
Belgrade offers visitors a mix of medieval architecture, modern art spaces, vibrant cafés, and scenic walks along the Danube. The route is expected to attract both tourists seeking new destinations and business travelers looking for a direct link between Kazakhstan and Europe.
Plans to open the connection between the two capitals by the end of 2025 had been discussed earlier by SCAT and tourism organizations, with the flights to be operated under fifth-freedom air rights.
