Kazakhstan's Prosecutor General Reports Major Case Reviews to President

Prosecutor General Berik Assylov reported to President Toqayev on the country's criminal justice situation, Orda reports.
Under his supervision, the prosecutor's office:
- Closed 32,000 pre-trial cases
- Prevented criminal proceedings against 4,000 people
- Released over 1,500 illegally detained citizens
- Protected rights of 81,000 entrepreneurs and 979,000 pensioners and vulnerable citizens
Following the Prosecutor General's protests, the Supreme Court improved sentences for 150 people and fully acquitted 10.
