Kazakhstan's NPP: French Company Currently in Astana

Specialists from the Assystem company, which designs, constructs, supervises, and commissions projects in the nuclear industry, are currently in Astana, Orda.kz reports.
Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants LLP's management conducted the negotiations with the French delegation. Assystem representatives expressed their willingness to share their experience with Kazakhstan.
The meeting discussed important topics. In particular, the possibilities of consultations and support from Assystem within the framework of the project to build a nuclear power plant (NPP) in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as prospects for further cooperation were considered,KNPP reported.
Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants (KNPP) LLP was established in 2014 per the action plan for constructing a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan, which former Prime Minister Karim Massimov approved. The company, which belongs to the National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC, develops design documentation and organizes construction work.
On the day of the referendum, President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev commented on the prospects for the construction of the NPP and said that an international consortium would implement the project.
The head of state also emphasized that the matter requires detailed analysis and negotiations at the global level.
