Kazakhstan has achieved an 82% compliance rate with international flight safety standards, the highest among CIS countries and comparable to European nations like Denmark and Poland, according to the Ministry of Transport, reports Orda.kz.
This marks a slight decline from the 84% recorded three years earlier.
The country's aviation sector has been experiencing steady growth, with passenger traffic increasing by 10-15% annually. The domestic airlines operate a fleet of 102 aircraft, while airports across Kazakhstan serve millions of passengers each year.
To expand air travel accessibility, new airports are under construction in the resort areas of Zaisan, Katon-Karagay, and Kendirli.
A new one will also appear in the "Khorgos - Eastern Gate" special economic zone.
