Kazakhstan’s Company for the Management of Returned Assets (CMRA) has announced the auction of 10 land plots in the Almaty region, Orda.kz reports.
According to the state e-qazyna.kz portal, five of the plots are near the village of Shamalgan in Qarasay district — a location informally linked to the family of former President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Additional plots are in the same district near Koktogan and the Pervomaisky rural district, with three others in Jambyl district.
The land, totaling over 15,000 hectares, is valued at over 1.5 billion tenge. Individual plots range in size from 0.5 to 4,700 hectares, with prices from 11.2 million to 474 million tenge. The auction is scheduled for August 13.
A previous attempt to sell five plots on July 22 failed; a repeat auction is planned for July 29.
