A court in the Moyynkum district has fined a worker and ordered him to pay compensation for assaulting his Chinese supervisor, Orda.kz reports.
The incident took place in June 2025 at a plant in the Jambyl region, where the defendant, angered by his manager’s refusal to sign a timesheet, physically attacked him, striking him multiple times in the face and torso.
According to court documents, the victim suffered physical pain and minor injuries, though not severe enough to qualify as bodily harm. The attacker admitted guilt, expressed remorse, and apologized to his supervisor — but the latter declined to accept the apology and demanded financial compensation through the courts.
Taking into account the defendant’s confession and regret, the court issued a fine of 40 MCI (157,200 tenge) and ordered an additional 500,000 tenge in moral damages.
The verdict has not yet come into force.
