Kazakhstan Warns of Regional Risks Following U.S. Strikes on Iran

Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed concern over recent U.S. military actions against Iran, warning that the escalation could pose serious security risks for the Caspian region states, Orda.kz reports.
The consequences will be dangerous for the security of the states located in our part of the world. Kazakhstan is part of the group of Caspian countries and is developing cooperation with Iran in various areas. Our country believes that all disagreements, including nuclear issues, should be resolved through negotiations based on the UN Charter.the Ministry stated.
The MFA called on all involved parties to urgently develop an agreement aimed at preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons and ensuring security guarantees for countries that abide by non-proliferation commitments under international oversight.
On June 22, the U.S. Air Force launched airstrikes on nuclear infrastructure sites in three regions of Iran.
In retaliation, Iran fired cruise missiles at Israel.
