Kazakhstan to Spend 4.6 Trillion Tenge on Road Projects Through 2029

Kazakhstan plans to carry out mid-level repairs on 10,000 km of roads by 2029. Transport Minister Nurlan Sauranbayev announced this at a government meeting, Orda.kz reports.
In both 2024 and 2025, nearly 9,000 km of roads were repaired.
The minister said the country has sufficient materials to deliver the new projects.
“This allows us to fully support roadworks and improve their quality. In regions with limited supplies of inert materials, industrial mineral waste from major enterprises is used. Over the next three years, the sector plans to implement projects totaling 3,250 km, with funding of 4.6 trillion tenge.Sauranbayev said.
He added that the projects will significantly boost transit potential and deliver direct economic benefits.
