Kazakhstan to Receive Loan from Russia for Thermal Power Plant

These plants are planned to be built in Kokshetau, Semey, and Oskemen.
According to MP Yedil Zhanbyrshin, the agreement provides for cooperation between the two countries in the design, supply of equipment, construction, and launch of new thermal power plants.
The agreement defines a mechanism for preferential financing. The project envisages the provision of a Russian state export credit to Kazakhstan, Zhanbyrshin noted at the plenary session.
The bill was sent to the Committee on Ecology and Nature Management, which will prepare a conclusion.
