Kazakhstan to Build Transport Hubs in All Directions

At a government meeting, Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev spoke about constructing hubs in Kazakhstan, Orda reports.
These projects should increase the volume of non-resource exports and reduce inflation. Industrial trade and logistics complexes (ITLC) will be built near the country's borders.
The first is located at the checkpoints "Karasu" (RK) and "Aq-Tilek" (KR). It will provide services for storing, consolidating, and redistributing goods.
A bridge is planned to be constructed in 2025 and will launch in 2026.
The facilities:
— International Center for Industrial Cooperation "Central Asia" will be between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. It will ensure processing of products and creation of new production facilities. Trade turnover with Uzbekistan is expected to grow to 10 billion dollars in five years.
— The Eurasia Cross-Border Trade Center will be located in Uralsk and have access to Russia and Eastern Europe. The launch is planned for 2026.
— Khorgos hub will continue to be developed to increase export and transit volumes. The goal is to bolster trade and economic cooperation with China.
— Caspian hub. Its goal is to develop container infrastructure in the port of Aqtau. The project will be completed in 2025.
— A joint logistics center with Kyrgyzstan will be built near Almaty to store fruit and vegetable products. The signing of the memorandum is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.
Effects:
- Increase in non-resource exports of Kazakhstan by 30%.
- Reduction in logistics costs and inflation.
- Increase in investment attractiveness and creation of new jobs.
- Development of multimodal logistics and export potential of the country.
Agreements have already been signed with Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, and industrial zones have been set up.
