Eleventh-grader Aisultan Altynbek has become a real source of pride for the Turkistan region. The school student has received offers from 86 universities across nine countries. In an interview with Orda.kz, he shared how he achieved this milestone and what he aspires to do in the future.
Aisultan is completing school this year in Arys. Fascinated by IT since childhood, he has already received invitations from 68 universities in the USA, seven in Türkiye, four in the UAE, two in Hungary, and the UK, as well as offers from Malaysia and Spain. Aisultan says this result came from steady preparation.
"The list of universities that invited me to study may still grow. I started preparing for this result in the 10th grade."
He decided not to take the unified national testing and instead focused on international exams, scoring 1380 on the SAT and 120 on the Duolingo English Test.
I want to study in another country, in another environment. Learning about different cultures is always interesting. I used to dream of studying in Hungary. Although I received an invitation from there, it looks like I will go to Spain or Malaysia. I have not yet made my final decision. I am choosing,
the high school student shares.
Aisultan comes from a large family. His mother teaches Kazakh language and literature, and his father is a paramedic. There are seven children in the family.
When I was a child, my father once brought me a special computer game that depicted scenes from the history of the Kazakh people. Then a dream was born in my heart: 'I wish I could create a game like that, so that it would share Kazakh history.' I think it was for the sake of this dream that I chose the IT field. Of course, the dreams grew and changed over time, but the goal — to create my own game — remained the same,
he says.
Another goal he has is to make foreign education more accessible to other Kazakh students.
He dreams of creating a Kazakh-language website with resources on preparing for international exams, assembling documents, and choosing universities.
I was lucky. In our school, many students receive invitations to study abroad. I asked the older students, learned from them, and thanks to this, I received many options to choose from. Now I want to create a website in Kazakh so that other children can also understand how to go this way.
Besides technology, Aisultan is passionate about literature and devotes at least half an hour each day to reading.
