Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu participated in the extraordinary joint Summit of the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which was dedicated to resolving the situation in Palestinian and stabilizing the situation in Lebanon, Orda.kz reports.
The participants discussed the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East and the challenges and threats faced by the states of the Islamic world.

Murat Nurtleu emphasized the importance of the OIC's active involvement in ensuring peace and stability in the region. He called on all states participating in the summit to develop specific proposals aimed at the earliest possible resolution of conflicts, particularly the one concerning Palestine.
One of the summit's most important moments was the discussion of the role of UN peacekeeping missions in ensuring security in places such as the Golan Heights and Lebanon.
Murat Nurtleu highlighted that attacks on UN peacekeepers and diplomatic missions are unacceptable and should be condemned by the international community as severe violations of international and humanitarian law.
The Minister also noted the need to intensify the OIC's work to ensure food security in countries affected by armed conflicts.
He urged the organization's member states to support the OIC initiative to raise funds to provide food aid to Palestinians.
