President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev has signed a decree on “Measures for Further Improvement of the State Administration System,” officially establishing the Nuclear Energy Agency of Kazakhstan, Orda reports.
Toqayev first announced the agency's creation during the National Qurultay on March 14.
Almasadam Satkaliyev, previously Kazakhstan’s Minister of Energy, has been appointed the agency’s chair. His transition to this new role was recently anticipated, and he has now been formally relieved of his ministerial duties.
