The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence has rejected reports of cooperation with the Chinese company Geedge Networks, calling them false, Orda.kz reports.
In an official response to Orda.kz, the ministry stated that the information "does not correspond to reality." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also denied claims that Kazakhstan had adopted a version of China’s “Great Firewall.”
Earlier, Wired reported on a major leak of documents from Geedge Networks, a Chinese firm whose technology is reportedly used for internet censorship and surveillance, including VPN blocking, user data collection, and deep packet inspection.
The leaked documents listed Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, and Myanmar among the company’s alleged clients.
