Kazakhstan: Matviyenko Comments on NPP Construction
Kazakhstan's political leadership will make the final decision on the project, Orda.kz reports, citing Interfax.
Kazakhstan continues to discuss the possibility of building a nuclear power plant with the participation of Rosatom.
Valentina Matviyenko, the Russian Federation Council chairperson, stated this after meeting with Kazakhstan's President, Qasym-Jomart Toqayev, in Astana.
Kazakhstan is interested in Rosatom’s participation in the construction of a nuclear power plant, but there is no decision yet, it is being discussed, Matviyenko noted.
