Kazakhstan: Man Detained over Online Terrorist Propaganda

A Kazakhstan resident has been detained for allegedly spreading terrorist propaganda online, reports Orda.kz.
The National Security Committee stated that the individual was using social media networks to disseminate terrorist content.
The arrest was carried out with the assistance of the Prosecutor's Office and the internal affairs agencies. During the investigation, material evidence was found and seized, The National Security Committee clarified.
The suspect is being investigated under Part 2 of Article 256 of Kazakhstan's Criminal Code, which addresses public incitement to terrorism through online platforms.
If convicted, the suspect could face up to 12 years in prison and have their property confiscated.
