Kazakhstan Loses 0:1 to Wales in World Cup Qualifier

On September 4, the Kazakhstan national football team played Wales at the Astana Arena in the fifth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament, Orda.kz reports.
The match ended with a narrow defeat for Kazakhstan, 0:1.
Following this result, Kazakhstan sits in fourth place in Group J with three points. Wales leads the group with 10 points, followed by North Macedonia (8), Belgium (4), and Liechtenstein (0). Kazakhstan’s next match will be away against Belgium on September 7.
Earlier this year, Wales defeated Kazakhstan 3:1 on home ground.
