Kazakhstan previously voiced support for former U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, Orda.kz reports.
The U.S. administration published a list of countries backing Trump’s initiative to end the conflict between Israel and Hamas, and Kazakhstan was among them.
President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev described the plan as “a crucial step” toward peace in the Middle East, saying it could help build trust among nations and provide a just resolution to the conflict.
Other supporters included Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Türkiye, India, China, Japan, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the European Union. Most emphasized the importance of an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages, and the delivery of humanitarian aid.
Trump’s proposal outlines 20 measures, including the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip, dismantling Hamas infrastructure, and the release of prisoners.
