Kazakhstan Launches First Road Project Using Digital Tenge

The first road construction project under Kazakhstan’s pilot program for implementing the digital tenge has been completed in Pavlodar region, Orda.kz reports.
According to KazAvtoJol, the project involved reconstruction work on a 7-kilometer stretch of the “Russian Border (towards Omsk) – Maikapshagay” highway, specifically between the 383rd and 390th kilometers.
This highway is classified as a Category I technical road. The last repairs on this section were carried out in 2015.
As part of the project, the upper road layer was renewed, shoulders were reinforced, and new lane markings were applied.
All completed work was recorded in the “eQurylys” digital system, in line with technical specifications, ensuring full transparency and digital oversight of the project’s implementation.
The project has officially been commissioned. Its goals include maintaining road infrastructure in line with national standards and improving safety and comfort.
