Kazakhstan Introduces Temporary Ban on Non-Ferrous Metal Exports

Kazakhstan has introduced a temporary ban on the export of non-ferrous metal blanks, Orda.kz reports. The measure is linked to internal security.
The order was signed by Minister of Industry and Construction Yersayin Nagaspayev.
The restriction will remain in effect until the end of this year and applies to copper and lead products. The list includes unrefined copper, copper anodes for electrolytic refining, rolling blanks, copper alloys (except for master alloys), uninsulated copper wire products, and several categories of lead, including antimony-containing lead intended for refining,
the document states.
Authorities informed the Eurasian Economic Commission about the new restrictions.
