The initiative is designed to attract specialists in engineering, technical, and scientific fields that will become key to the development of nuclear energy in Kazakhstan. In 2026, the Bolashaq program plans to allocate 20 pilot grants, with similar opportunities to be offered annually thereafter.
The program includes international internships as well as master’s and doctoral tracks at leading foreign universities.

Almassadam Satkaliyev, Chair of the Atomic Energy Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, emphasized that the grants represent an investment in people who will drive the industry forward, strengthening its resilience and international competitiveness.
The launch of the program marks an important step in enhancing Kazakhstan’s scientific and technological potential and building a strong talent base for the country’s future nuclear energy sector.
