Kazakhstan plans to introduce export customs duties on several petroleum products, Orda.kz reports.
The Ministry of Trade and Integration presented a draft of changes, including new duty rates of up to $60 per ton.
These measures will affect products such as hydrocarbon mixtures, petroleum jelly, bitumen, cyclic hydrocarbons, lubricants, additives, solvents, and biodiesel.
The initiative is reportedly aimed at generating budget contributions.
The Ministry of Finance proposed to establish duties on approximately 320 commodity items. After analysis, the Interdepartmental Commission (IDC) supported this proposal, which approved the establishment of duty rates on the specified petroleum products.
The draft document is on" Open NPA " for public discussion. Comments and suggestions will be accepted until December 13.
