Kazakhstan Increases Oil Supplies to Germany by More Than 60%

In December 2024, Kazakhstan will send 130 thousand tons of oil to the Adamova Zastava point for subsequent delivery to Germany, Orda.kz reports.
KazTransOil says that has delivered one million and 358 thousand tons of oil to Germany via the Uzen-Atyrau-Samara pipeline and the Transneft main oil pipeline system since the beginning of the year. KazTransOil regulates the shipment of Kazakhstan's oil to the domestic market and for export.
These deliveries amounted to 843 thousand tons from January to November 2023. Over the year, Kazakhstan began to send 61% more oil to Germany.
Deliveries via the Aqtau seaport to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline towards Azerbaijan also increased year-on-year.
If KazTransOil shipped 910 thousand tons of oil along this route in January-November 2023, then in the 11 months of 2024, it will have shipped one million and 342 thousand tons (+47.5%).
In December, it is planned to send 122 thousand tons of oil to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
Meanwhile, deliveries from the Aqtau seaport to Makhachkala decreased slightly - to one million and 775 thousand tons (-2.7% year-on-year). In December, 186 thousand tons of oil should be shipped in this direction.
KazTransOil also reported on Russian oil transit through Kazakhstan to China and Uzbekistan.
Since the beginning of the year, transit to China has amounted to nine million 117 thousand tons (-0.3% compared to last year), and to Uzbekistan—225 thousand tons (+74.5%).
At the end of November, it became known that Kazakhstan intends to increase oil supplies via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline more than 13 times, from 1.5 to 20 million tons per year.
The Azerbaijani side has yet to confirm its readiness.
