The company Gazpromneft-Kazakhstan, which fell under American sanctions with the Russian Gazpromneft, has re-registered under a different name, Orda.kz reports.
Oil and gas industry expert Oleg Chervinsky drew attention to this.
On Telegram, the analyst has noted that the new name under which the former Gazpromneft-Kazakhstan will operate is Alatau Premium Munay.
An LLP with this name was registered in the Almaty region back in 2021, and it was initially called Gazpromneft-Kazakhstan Operating Company.
On February 5, 2025, it was re-registered with a change of name. The sole founder of the LLP is the Russian LLP GPN-Operatsionnoye Upravlenie, Oleg Chervinsky points out.
In official documents from government services, the subsidiary of the Russian Gazpromneft now appears under a new name, Alatau Premium Munay.
The Gazpromneft-Kazakhstan website was not open at the time of publication of this news: the main page reported that it was temporarily unavailable due to technical work.
Gazpromneft structures fell under US sanctions in early January. In Kazakhstan, the Russian company's local subsidiary has a network of gas stations (78 refueling stations in the country's largest cities).
