First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar met with Csaba Leiko, President of John Deere for the CIS and Central Asia, Orda.kz reports.
The meeting was focused on a joint program for localization and service development. The parties also discussed the potential for Kazakhstan to serve as a central logistics hub for the delivery of machinery and spare parts across the CIS.

The initiative will be implemented at a localization center in Kostanay, where 350 new jobs are expected to be created across production and service divisions. John Deere’s official distributor in Kazakhstan, Eurasia Group, plans to open three service centers equipped with advanced technologies, including precision agriculture, GPS navigation, and automated control systems for farms and service centers.
During the meeting, Roman Sklyar emphasized that launching this new production site is an essential step toward advancing Kazakhstan’s domestic machinery industry and integrating cutting-edge technologies in the agricultural sector.
John Deere is a global leader in the manufacturing of agricultural machinery. The brand has established a strong reputation in Kazakhstan and continues to be in high demand among local farmers.
In recent years, Kazakhstan has taken significant steps to industrialize its agro-industrial sector and establish favorable conditions for modern production facilities. In this context, John Deere is entering the Kazakh market in a new capacity — strengthening its position and offering innovative solutions for the country’s agriculture.
Notably, the localization of John Deere production will support government efforts to modernize Kazakhstan’s agricultural machinery fleet.
