Eighteen officials have been held administratively liable for failing to carry out orders issued by the Supreme Audit Chamber, Orda.kz reports.
Alikhan Smailov’s department said those sanctioned include several regional and district akims, as well as senior civil servants. The violations concern the non-execution or improper execution of post-audit directives, which outline identified violations, required corrective actions, responsible officials, and deadlines.
Those disciplined include:
- Deputy Akim of the Ulytau Region
- Deputy Akim of the Turkistan Region
- Deputy Akim of the Janaarka District
- Acting Chair of the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control
- Representatives of the “Semey” agricultural cooperative
The chamber also noted that several government bodies have not fulfilled its requirements, including the Finance Ministry’s State Revenue Committee, the Water Resources Committee, and a department within the Transport Ministry.
In addition, the Supreme Audit Chamber has filed lawsuits against the akimats of Zhezkazgan, Satpayev, and Ulytau Region for failing to comply with certain audit instructions.
The cases are currently under review.
