Kazakhstan Continues Privatization of Football Clubs

At a government meeting, David Loria, Secretary General of the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF), reported on the progress of the privatization of the country’s football clubs, Orda.kz reports.
On October 30, the Kaisar football club was officially transferred to private ownership. Imangali Kozbakov, head of TAU Group LTD, became the new owner.
The Qyzylorda Akimat has allocated a plot of land for the construction of a football academy. The investment will amount to 12 billion tenge,

The transfer of ownership for the Qyzyl-Jar and Zhenis football clubs is expected to be completed by November 15.
The capital’s akimat has allocated a plot of land for the construction of a modern football academy for the Zhenis football club. Legal procedures for transferring the land to the investor are underway. Completion is planned for November 15, 2025. The total investment in the football academy is approximately 16 billion tenge,
added the KFF Secretary General.
In addition, the privatization of FC Shakhtar (Qaraganda) is scheduled to be completed by the end of November.
