Since the beginning of 2024, 2.8 million hectares of land in Kazakhstan have been inspected. As a result, specialists found violations on 2.2 million hectares and issued 1,342 orders to eliminate them, Orda.kz reports.
Some landowners have begun to develop the land after the comments, covering 311 thousand hectares.
The other 200 thousand hectares of unused land are subject to legal proceedings.
In addition, almost 900 cases of illegal land allocation by local authorities were discovered.
Some of these decisions have already been revoked. The main violations are related to the land being given out without competition or pastures being distributed incorrectly.
As a result, more than 2 million hectares of land were returned to state ownership, which even exceeded the plan for 2024.
