Over three days, nearly 4.5 million trees were planted across Kazakhstan as part of a nationwide environmental campaign led by President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev, Orda.kz reports.
The Head of State participated in the All-Kazakhstan Forest Planting Day, held within the framework of the Taza Kazakhstan environmental festival. In Astana's Jastar Park, the President joined ecological activists in planting a tree, expressing his support for efforts to protect the natural environment.
The campaign saw participation from all regions of the country. The nearly 4.5 million seedlings planted during the event contributed to the national forest reserve. Government officials, volunteers, students, schoolchildren, and local residents all participated.
President Toqayev had previously taken part in a similar campaign, planting a tree in the capital’s botanical garden.
At the time, he emphasized the importance of environmental responsibility, stating:
“A tree is a sacred concept.”
