Kazakhstan: AntiKor Offers Reward for Information on Fugitive Ex-Judge

The Anti-Corruption Service has announced a monetary reward for information leading to the capture of Karlygash Tatkeyeva, Orda.kz reports.
Tatkeyeva, a former high-ranking judge, was recently added to the wanted list and is under investigation in connection with a major fraud case.
A citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Karlygash Kurmashevna Tatkeyeva, born in 1971, is wanted for committing fraud on an especially large scale. A monetary reward is provided for reliable information,
Antikor representative Daniyar Bigaidarov reported.
Tatkeyeva is 53 years old and originally from the Jambyl Region. From 1994 to 2002, she worked in the prosecutor’s office, later becoming a lawyer in a private firm.
In August 2003, she was appointed judge of the specialized inter-district economic court of the Qaraganda Region. She later served as a judge in Astana and was also an adviser to the chairman of the Supreme Court on civil cases during the tenure of Zhakip Asanov.
