Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Hold Security Consultations in Tashkent

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan held the seventh round of bilateral security consultations in Tashkent on March 28, Orda.kz reports, citing UzA.
The talks, chaired by Uzbekistan’s Security Council Secretary Viktor Makhmudov and his Kazakh counterpart Gizat Nurdauletov, focused on cooperation in defense, counterterrorism, emergency response, and combating extremism and transnational organized crime.
Officials from both countries’ defense, interior, emergency, security, and religious affairs ministries participated.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening security ties and signed a protocol outlining steps for deeper cooperation and improved interagency coordination.
