Kazakhstan and China Trade Hits USD 36.5 Billion

This is a record trade turnover between the countries for 10 months of the current year. It is 11% more than for the same period last year. The data was announced following a meeting of the heads of the Foreign Ministries of Kazakhstan and China, Orda.kz reports, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The department says this was the fifth meeting of the foreign ministers of the Central Asia-China format.
It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu and member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Wang Yi.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of previously reached agreements.
The importance of joint efforts to increase trade, economic, transit and transport cooperation and ensure energy security, as well as to increase Kazakhstan’s non-resource exports to China was emphasized, notes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
