Kazakhmys Claims Situation at Enterprises Stabilized
The corporation denied the miners’ statement about pressure from security forces, Orda.kz reports.
The situation remains stable at the moment. The Jezkazgan Copper Smelter, the Jaisan, Shatyrkul, and Sayaq mines, as well as the tunneling crews at the Jylandy, Jomart, Zapadny, and Vostochny mines have resumed operations, the statement says
The corporation has stated that it is interested in a speedy resolution of the situation and confirmed the implementation of two key points:
- Payment of an additional 30% bonus to the 13th salary.
- Quarterly bonuses.
Additionally, from January 1, 2025, employee salaries will be indexed by 8.5%.
The company claims that most of the corporation's employees supported the proposed conditions.
The only exception was a small group of workers at Mine No. 65 (YuzhR).
