Kazakh President Meets Armenian Parliament Speaker to Discuss Bilateral Ties

President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqayev met with Chair of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan at Aqorda, Orda.kz reports.
Armenia is a reliable partner of Kazakhstan in the South Caucasus region, Toqayev told Simonyan.
Kazakh-Armenian relations are developing steadily in many directions. This is facilitated by regular political dialogue, as well as the expansion of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties,
the head of state's words are quoted by the Aqorda press service.
Alen Simonyan stated that Armenia is interested in expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan in the trade and economic sphere. Specific actions are needed to increase trade turnover, the parliamentarian emphasized.
The Armenian representative also thanked Kazakhstan for its assistance in advocating for peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Last year, Toqayev announced Astana’s readiness to provide a platform for negotiations between Baku and Yerevan.
