For the first time in 10 years, a Kazakh club will play in the UEFA Champions League. The match between Kairat and Real will take place on September 30 in Almaty. Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabossynov spoke about the expected economic impact of the game, Orda.kz reports.
According to him, more than four thousand tourists are expected to visit Almaty.
Of course, the economy here in Almaty will benefit — hotels, restaurants, our tourist routes, which we must prepare in advance. This is truly sports tourism, and it is a historic moment, which I congratulate you all on. The Central Stadium of Almaty is ready for the match, the minister said on the sidelines of the government meeting.
He added that Kairat has a chance to defeat Real and that the ministry is optimistic about the game.
