Kairat Defeats Olimpija to Advance in UEFA Champions League Qualifiers

The second leg of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League first qualifying round was held at Almaty Central Stadium, reports Orda.kz.
Kairat secured a 2–0 victory over Slovenian club Olimpija.
The scoring opened early in the match, with Portuguese forward Jorginho netting a goal in the 5th minute. Defender Aleksandr Mrynsky added a second in the 31st minute after a one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
The first leg in Slovenia ended in a 1–1 draw. Kairat will now face the winner of the KuPS (Finland) vs Milsami (Moldova) matchup in the second qualifying round.
Those matches are scheduled for July 22/23 and July 29/30. Kairat will play the first leg away.
