Justice Ministry Seeks to Liquidate Biz Birgemiz Qazaqstan Foundation

The Ministry of Justice has initiated proceedings to liquidate a public foundation whose director is embezzlement suspect Perizat Kairat, Orda.kz reports.
On February 14, 2025, a motion for the forced liquidation of the Biz Birgemiz Qazaqstan 2030 fund was submitted to the specialized inter-district economic court. The organization was established in October 2021, with Perizat Kairat registered as its director.
The fund's head is suspected of misappropriating 1.7 billion tenge.
Accusations against her include embezzling donations collected for flood victims in Kazakhstan and humanitarian aid intended for Palestine. Investigators claim that she diverted these funds for personal use.
The court has seized Kairat's assets, which include luxury apartments in several premium residential complexes: Akbulak Riviera, Highvill Ishim Gold, Kok Jailau, and Sensata Plaza, as well as a villa in Vela Village.
Her vehicle collection, including Mercedes-Benz S450, Mercedes-Benz EQE 500, Lexus LX-600, and Haval cars, has also been confiscated.
During searches, authorities confiscated high-end equipment, jewelry, and accessories from brands such as Cartier, Rolex, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Chopard, Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana, and Prada.
All seized property has been included in the case.
If convicted, the activist could face up to 10 years imprisonment.
