President Sadyr Japarov has outlined a reform agenda aimed at building a fair and prosperous nation, which he described as a “New Kyrgyzstan,” Orda.kz reports.
Excerpts from Japarov’s address, delivered on Constitution Day and dedicated to the country’s new development strategy, were published on the official website of the Kyrgyz president.
We must focus on shaping a New Kyrgyzstan, one that stands out not only for its outward achievements but also for the inner wealth of every citizen — spiritual purity, morality, hospitality, generosity, and depth of knowledge,Japarov said.
He recalled the priorities of the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030, which include ensuring sustainable growth, improving living standards, unlocking human potential, and strengthening spiritual values.
The president also reaffirmed his commitment to continuing reforms.
Constitutional reform has reshaped the architecture of power, signs of sustainable growth have emerged in the economy, stability is strengthening in society, and foreign policy has become multi-vector. Order has been restored in different areas, creating new opportunities for development and movement toward a bright future. As a result, the people have regained trust in the state. In other words, visible changes are taking place in every sphere of life — and they are ongoing, Japarov said.
The “New Kyrgyzstan” strategy envisions deep reforms in governance, anti-corruption measures, business support, improvements to the investment climate, and other key transformations.
It is time to unite the heritage of our ancestors — traditions, customs, and moral foundations — with modern science and knowledge to shape a new image of the Kyrgyz people, the president emphasized.
Experts in Kazakhstan noted parallels between Japarov’s message and President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev’s idea of a “New Kazakhstan,” first articulated in a 2022 address.
