January Events: Police Found Cache of Stolen Weapons in Taldykorgan

Kazakhstan's police have uncovered another weapons cache from the January 2022 unrest, discovering a Kalashnikov rifle, a Makarov pistol, and ammunition hidden under a bridge of the Karatal River in Taldykorgan, Orda.kz reports.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the weapons were stolen during the January Events.

This discovery adds to the more than 20 illegal weapons caches found over the past two years, according to recent National Security Committee reports.
