Jambyl Region: Court Passes Sentence in Sexual Abuse Case

In the Jambyl region, two residents of the Moyynkum district were sentenced to prison terms. They were accused of sexually abusing a minor, Orda.kz reports.
The girl had been abused for years by her father's brothers since she was six years old. Both were in their thirties.
The schoolgirl became pregnant at the age of 13. While pregnant, she attended school, but this went unnoticed.
The court recently handed down the sentence. They were found guilty under Part 4 of Article 120 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. One received life imprisonment, the other - 20 years.
A criminal case was opened against the staff of the school where the victim studied under Part 1 of Article 141 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “Improper Performance of Duties to Ensure The Safety of Life and Health of Children.”
