Italian Prime Minister Meets with Toqayev in Aqorda

Qasym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Aqorda, Orda.kz reports.
Meloni was originally scheduled to visit Kazakhstan on April 26–27, but the meeting was postponed due to the passing of Pope Francis.
We see Kazakhstan as a strategic partner for Italy, and this region (Central Asia) as a strategically important crossroads. Kazakhstan is an important partner for Italy in many areas,Meloni said during her meeting with Tokayev.
She proposed launching cooperation through exchanges between Kazakh and Italian universities.
The two sides also discussed the potential for expanding trade, economic, and investment partnerships.
