Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to resume negotiations and mocked his claim that the United States had destroyed Iran’s nuclear program, Orda.kz reports, citing Reuters.
Khamenei emphasized that no real agreement can be reached through coercion or threats.
The US President says that he makes deals and wants to make a deal with Iran. “Dealing” where the outcome is predetermined using coercion isn’t a way of dealing. It’s a way of imposing something, and the Iranian nation will never submit to such impositions.

Commenting on Trump’s remarks about the alleged destruction of Iranian nuclear facilities, Khamenei added ironically:
"Let him continue to dream."
Background
Tehran and Washington held several rounds of indirect talks on the nuclear issue, but dialogue collapsed in June 2025, after U.S. and Israeli airstrikes targeted Iranian facilities, escalating the conflict.
Earlier, during a speech in the Israeli parliament, Trump said he wanted to reach a “peace agreement” with Tehran following a ceasefire in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Western nations continue to accuse Iran of seeking to develop nuclear weapons, while Tehran maintains that its program is entirely peaceful.
At the end of September, the UN Security Council voted to reinstate sanctions on Iran, which had been suspended under the 2015 nuclear deal.
Britain, France, and Germany accused Iran of breaching the agreement, supported by six other countries, including the United States.
