"If Trump Had Not Been Robbed of The 2020 Victory, Ukraine Crisis Might Not Have Been" - Vladimir Putin

The President of Russia commented on Trump's recent statements. He said that Russia has never refused to make contact with the US administration, reports Orda.kz citing the Kremlin.
Vladimir Putin noted that he had always had a businesslike, pragmatic, and trusting relationship with Trump.
I can't disagree with him that if he were president, if his victory hadn't been stolen in 2020, maybe there wouldn't have been that crisis in Ukraine that emerged in 2022. Although it's known that Trump, being president in his first iteration, also imposed a significant number, at that time the largest number, of restrictions and sanctions against Russia. I don't think this was a decision that served the interests of not only Russia but the United States itself, said Vladimir Putin.
Putin also noted that it would be better for the two Presidents to "meet based on today's realities and calmly discuss all areas of interest to both the US and Russia." He named oil prices as one such area.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump, speaking to journalists in North Carolina, recently called on OPEC to lower oil prices to end the conflict, BBC reports.
We want OPEC to lower oil prices, and that will automatically stop the tragedy that's happening in Ukraine. It's a horrible tragedy for both sides. Over a million men have died, and they're losing thousands of people every week... As long as oil prices are high, this war won't end so easily, Trump said.
